On July 28, 2000, Adaptive Broadband completed a planned divestiture of its legacy businesses by selling MRC to Vislink plc, who re-established the company as Microwave Radio Communications.

In 1999, California Microwave was renamed Adaptive Broadband Corporation after a complex series of acquisitions and divestitures, and the MRC identity became less prominent in the process. In 1992 MRC was sold to California Microwave, Inc., and became an operating division. The MAC point-to-point fixed products were also acquired by MRC four years later.

Microwave Radio Corporation was formed late in 1986 by M/A-COM employees that acquired the MAC portable product line. A year later, the Communications Equipment Division became Microwave Associates Communications, or simply MAC. In 1978, M/A-COM was formed by the merger of Microwave Associates and Digital Communications Corporation as part of a diversification strategy. By 1975, the division had become a rapidly growing business center, and was elevated to group status within the corporation. These accomplishments were followed by a series of successful new products over the next decade that propelled the company into the number one spot in video microwave. A year later, the company launched the first all solid-state microwave portable, and two years later, the first solid-state STL. Microwave Radio Communications was started in 1963 as the Communications Equipment Division of Microwave Associates Incorporated. These assets can be deployed in a number configurations including airborne, ground based and command center applications. We also offer point-to-point and multipoint solutions for mobile high quality video applications such as SWAT, Fire and Emergency Response.
